The Vedette is a solid state
controller that has no moving parts to wear out like a mechanical cycler does.
With the Vedette, you can 
easily adjust the number of cycles the siren sounds when you have an alarm, as
well as the gain time (length) of each siren cycle. It can also provide a daily
one-cycle siren test, has automatic reset capabilities, a battery backup, the
ability to be activated from multiple sources, false alarm prevention
circuitry...it can even open a truck bay door when the department has a call.
The Vedette will work with any existing electromechanical warning siren and is easily installed by any electrician, 2-way radio technician, or security system installer. For wireless control of sirens, it can be connected to an existing tone receiver, or you can use the Informer to do the job.

Civil Defense (CD) Warning Module
In the wake of the recent terror attacks on our country, many municipalities have been looking into using their existing fire siren to provide a civil defense alert to warn residents of an impending emergency. As a result, we have devised a CD Warning Module that can be used with the Vedette siren controller that when activated, will provide a single-cycle of the fire siren, for a duration of approximately three minutes.
This is a time when America should band together to help each other through this crisis. Upon request, we will provide a CD Warning Module with each Vedette purchased.

Get rid of your old punchtape system!
Air horn system users can now update their control equipment with the Vedette. Using this modified controller, you can automatically activate air horns for a fixed number of blasts where there is an alarm. By using other items such as the Emergency Phone and the Informer, you can eliminate the old call box and punchtape system in use and update to a more modern (and reliable) method of dispatching without a huge strain on the equipment budget.
