The Informer
The Informer was designed to replace the EAR and VAR by combining the best of both of these products into one state-of-the art radio receiver. Just like a pager, it is custom programmed to your radio frequency and alert tones. You can set the Informer to you alert when you have a call and open the channel, or press a button and it will continuously monitor the channel instead. The Informer is powered by a small plug-in transformer, and contains a built-in rechargeable battery to keep the unit operational during a power failure.
The Informer with the optional Relay can also be used in the fire station as a tone receiver to automatically start your fire siren, or other equipment in the station.
The Informer comes with a removable 'rubber duck' antenna, or you can connect your own external antenna to the 50 ohm BNC connector.

This unit can be programmed to the same radio frequency used to activate the warning sirens. This way, you can keep the Informer near you at all times to guarantee you don't miss this vital warning.
